Welcome to Inverness and Black Isle u3a

"Learn, laugh, live”

Inverness and Black Isle u3a is open to retired or semi-retired people to come together to share common interests, develop new ones, keep themselves active and involved and be part of a great social network.

Join us now!

We are part of the nationwide network of u3a groups and offer a variety of activities and learning opportunities.

It's a great way to meet up with like-minded people and to share skills and experiences.

From September to June we hold general meetings with invited speakers which are open to all members. They cover a wide range of topics and are followed by the opportunity to chat to other members over a cup of tea.

Join us at The Town House on 15th October 1pm - 3.30pm to celebrate our first 25 years of achievements, learning, memories, and friendship. Book your place by emailing Lorna, our Membership Secretary. Tickets are £10 per person; please pay in advance as requested in the email you will have received on 8th August.

We look forward to seeing you there!

*NEW GROUP* Short Strolls is for those who would like to meet up for a leisurely walk in a variety of environments. Register your interest on the group's page.

Such is the success of the Mah Jong group that it will be meeting weekly from Monday, 31st August! Full details of the group here.

Interest Groups

Interest groups cover a wide variety of topics and activities. They are informal in nature and are led by the members of the group. There are no examinations or certificates; just the opportunity for people to come together to explore a shared interest with a small group of like-minded people, to develop new or existing skills or simply to socialise. New groups are set up whenever members decide they want to develop a skill, share new experiences or learn more about a particular topic.

Come along to one of our meetings to find out more - you may attend one general meeting and an interest group meeting before deciding whether to join us. See our Membership page for details of how to join.
