The u3a is for people who want to keep active in mind and body, enjoy socialising, and are no longer in full time employment. Most of us, once we are semi or fully retired, are ready to accept new challenges, to seek new interests and make new friends. It is encouraging that whilst a lot of our members have been with us since Inverness & Black Isle u3a was formed, we are regularly enrolling new members who see the following benefits to joining us:
- Staying active, continuing to learn whilst having fun and meeting new people
- Meeting face to face, or on line, learning together and making the most of life
- Interest Groups give the opportunity to meet with people with similar interests who can teach new things and share skills
- Monthly general interest meetings which cover a wide range of topics and are followed by the opportunity to chat to other members over a cup of tea

Annual membership to Inverness & Black Isle is only £20.00 and includes:
- Free entry to monthly meetings, with speakers, followed by refreshments.
- Participation in group activities (contribution to running costs may apply)
- Monthly newsletters
- Membership of Third Age Trust and the option to receive the Third Age Matters magazine
- Access to all UK National and Scottish Events and on-line learning.
You can pay by BACS, cheque or cash: details are on the application form.
Please contact our Membership Secretary, Lorna Jamieson, for more information.

Whilst considering if you would like to formally join Inverness & Black Isle u3a, you are welcome to attend one of our general meetings, and two of our special interest groups. Groups leaders' contact details are on each group's page.
